    Am new here from Nigeria...am really in love with the security aspect of IT...i came across your site and have been amazed all through...
    please would want to know if you have any video or tut about setting up a lab on vmware workstaion to practice Pen-Test...also am having problem starting up msql in kali...am getting this error message when i input this command sudo service msql start
    "Failed to start msql.service: Unit msql.service failed to load: No such file or directory." is there a way to do this?

    1. Hello and Welcome! You have to start the mysql service by doing the following service mysql start -- you misspelled mysql.

  5. Also have not been able to configue Openvas even with the video tut i got...seems am having errors too during the initial setup....

    is there a different approach in configuring OpenVas in Kali 2.0?
    this is what i get when i try to configure it...

    1. You should be able to use the list for any password audit that accepts a flat file text document for a password list input.

  10. I recommend looking into Whonix. Its a Debian based virtual machine, that acts as a firewall/router, directing traffic through the tor network. Very useful once you get it set up properly.

  12. I am running the latest Kali Linux 2016.1 and for some reason I am having issues trying to find OpenVAS in my repository to install. They must have changed things since your video. Does anyone have any idea on how to get this? I have done the apt-get update and it still can not find it to install.
